signature 5 step fertilizer & weed control program

With over 25 years of experience...we have learned what works and what does not!

My signature service plan consists of five fertilizer & weed control treatments.

Treatments are made from March through early December and are spaced six to eight weeks apart.

The fertilizer is a special formulation dry granular treatment while the weed control is a sprayed on liquid herbicide.

EARLY SPRING

Dry granular fertilizer and crabgrass preventer – gives the lawn a quick burst feeding to help it green up fast and get off to a healthy start and prevent crabgrass from coming up in May and June. .

LATE SPRING

Slower release granular fertilizer and liquid weed control – allows for a long slow feeding of the lawn through the warner late spring and early summer period. Fertilizer includes 3% Iron giving the lawn a darker green, healthier appearance. Liquid weed control is also applied to tackle any weeds that have emerged in the spring.

SUMMER

Ultra slow release fertilizer and liquid weed control – feeds the lawn throughout the hot, often dry, summer months. The liquid weed control treatment targets those weeds that don’t begin to emerge until the hotter summer months.

NOTE:
SOME COMPANIES BREAK UP THIS SUMMER TREATMENT INTO 2 SEPARATE TREATMETNS.

1 IS FERTILIZER AND 1 IS WEED CONTROL – YOU GET CHARGED FOR EACH AT THE SAME PRICE.

I DO BOTH STEPS IN ONE TREATMENT AND ONLY CHARGE ONCE.

POINTING THIS OUT SO YOU CAN COMPARE APPLES TO APPLES.

EARLY FALL

Higher dose Nitrogen granular fertilizer and liquid weed control. As the heat of the summer begins to subside, the lawn is ready to take in more nutrients and recover. This treatment provides just the right nutrients. It is typical for weeds to attempt a regrowth before winter, which the liquid weed control will address.

LATE FALL

Quick release “winterizer” fertilizer. This provides the lawn a quick burst of nutrients to allow it to stockpile energy in the roots.
